Upcoming maintenance at Grant-Harvey, Fredericton Indoor Pool

The City of Fredericton is gearing up for maintenance at the Grant-Harvey Centre and the Fredericton Indoor Pool.

City officials say in a news release there will be no ice time at the Grant-Harvey between April 2 and July 17.

"The work will involve piping changes with the arena mechanical room, control changes and additions for operations improvements that will allow for the ability to operate each ice surface independently," the city says.

Officials say extra ice time has been added in other city arenas to make up for the lost time.

All other operations, such as the walking track and community rooms, will operate as usual.

Meanwhile, the Fredericton Indoor Pool will be drained between June 26 and July 31 to allow for retiling of the pool deck and basin.

Administrative offices will remain open, and residents are encouraged to use one of the city's outdoor aquatic facilities during that time.
