A defenceman for the Humboldt Broncos is among 15 killed in a horrific bus crash in Saskatchewan.

Alicia Wack, cousin of Stephen Wack, told The Canadian Press he did not survive when a bus carrying the junior hockey team collided with a truck on an eastern Saskatchewan highway Friday.

The 21-year-old had played with the Broncos for two season.

The team was on its way to play in Game 5 of a semi-final against the Nipawin Hawks.

The crash killed the team's head coach Darcy Haugan, captain Logan Schatz, top forward Jaxon Joseph and the team's play-by-play radio announcer Tyler Bieber.

RCMP say 14 others on the bus were injured but the truck driver survived.
