A large nor'easter is blowing through much of Atlantic Canada on Thursday, with another system expected to bring more messy weather over the weekend.

Environment Canada has issued special weather warnings for Nova Scotia, Newfoundland, P.E.I. and New Brunswick.
New Brunswick is seeing heavy winds and up to 20 centimetres of snow, with another 15 centimetres possible from another system moving in Saturday.
Schools, some businesses and transit services have been either closed or limited in parts of the province, while several flights in and out of airports in New Brunswick have either been delayed or cancelled.

In Fredericton, the city transit made its last run from Kings Place at 1:15 p.m.

Visibility may be reduced in the heavy and blowing snow and will have an impact on travel today.
