Vehicle seized as part of fatal hit and run investigation to be returned to owner: RCMP

RCMP say a vehicle that was seized as part of their investigation into a fatal hit and run in Saint-Charles will be returned to the owner.

RCMP Cpl. Jullie Rogers-Marsh tells our newsroom that the information required has been obtained from the vehicle, which is in the process of being returned.

She says police are continuing to investigate the death of a 22-year-old Elsipogtog First Nation man who was struck by a vehicle on Saturday night while waiting on the side of the road for a drive home.

Mounties say the man died at the scene, while the vehicle drove off before police arrived.

Anyone with information that could help with the investigation is asked to contact the Richibucto Detachment of the Southeast District RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
