Snow, wind and rain coming this weekend

Environment Canada is calling for snow, rain and wind across New Brunswick this weekend.

In a Special Weather Statement issued around 8:30 Thursday morning, forecasters are calling for a mix of rain and snow across the province, along with strong winds.

Environment Canada says coastal areas should only see rain, while inland areas will see snow which will change to rain.

The weather agency says it is possible that areas in the northwest will only see snow on Saturday.

Forecasters say it is too early to predict specific precipitation amounts, but it is likely the highest rainfall amounts will be along the Fundy Coast where rainfall warnings may be required.

Environment Canada says all of New Brunswick can expect strong winds on Sunday, and warns winds warnings may be required.
