Imagine this: You’ve got five minutes to get to the office and there’s still two cars ahead of you in the Timmies drive through. Finally,  you get your bagel and your scalding double double, so you start scarfing down your everything bagel with herb and garlic cream cheese the first stop light ya hit, right?

Well if you do that in BC, the RCMP will follow you out of the Timmies parking lot and issue you a ticket for $368. Not only that, but you’ll also get dinged 6 demerit points – yikes! And if you’re a chronic fry muncher while driving, major penalties can soar to a staggering $2000.

Apparently it’s for “Driving without Due Care”.
