You Can't Smoke At The Saddledome Anymore.

A new policy will ban smoking in or around the Saddledome.

The Calgary Sports and Entertainment Corp. announced that as of Canada Day, smoking is banned inside and outside the Dome, and exiting and re-entering the arena will no longer be permitted during events. Apparently they have the same policy in NHL arenas across Canada.

An email to Flames ticket holders read “in keeping with our commitment to safety and security, and as a result of a thorough review of best practices in the arena industry, effective July 1, 2018, exiting and re-entering the building during events (sporting and non-sporting) will not be permitted at the Scotiabank Saddledome. In alignment with the Scotiabank Saddledome no re-entry policy, the facility will be smoke-free within and around all areas of the building, for all events once the doors of the building are open to the general public. Smoking is strictly prohibited in all areas, including suites and restaurants within the facility, as well as within 10 meters of any external entry door.”
