The 9 Movies You Should Be PSYCHED for in 2019
If you're like me, Toy Story 4 destroyed your emotions this weekend...
SO let's look forward! These are the movies you should be the most excited for in 2019!
Spider-Man: Far From Home (July 2nd)
It's been around 2 months since Avengers: Endgame came out and we learned how Iron Man and Captain America dealt with all of Thanos' shenanigans. But how is the world working now? Is everything back to normal? ...probably not. The new Spider-Man movie apparently has some answers for us. Plus Jake Gyllenhaal (tbh he's what I care about most).
The Lion King (July 19th)
I'm not gonna lie to you, I wasn't that excited for this movie until I saw this trailer. Did I know I needed a Beyonce and Childish Gambino duet? No. Has it filled a massive hole in my life? ABSOLUTELY.
Once Upon a Time ... In Hollywood (July 26th)
Quentin Tarantino's 9th and penultimate movie is only a month away and by almost all accounts... it SLAPS. I'm a total sucker for Tarantino so this is right up my alley. Gonna have to brush up on your Manson Family history for this one!
It: Chapter Two (September 6th)
Two years after I seemed like a total pansy for getting FULLY TERRIFIED on a date with a cute Australian girl, the next chapter of It is almost here to give me a one way ticket back to Tinderland! The first trailer for this flick is basically just a scene from the movie and if it's any indication, this one's gonna up the game. Like, a lot. If there are any Aussies reading this who will hold my hand and reassure me that Pennywise isn't actually coming for me, my number is (587) ***-****.
Joker (October 4th)
Imagine hearing this 10 years ago:
"From the man who brought you The Hangover and Old School... comes a new movie about the Joker starring that guy who played Johnny Cash in that movie about Johnny Cash. And it might be a soul sequel to Martin Scorsese's 1982 movie The King of Comedy? And the star of that movie is in it?"
This one's gonna be weird, I'm very excited.
Zombieland: Double Tap (October 11th)
HOT TAKE: Zombieland is the best zombie movie ever made. It's funny, it's fun, Bill Murray's in it. Can't beat it. But hopefully this WAY OVERDUE sequel is gonna try!
Jojo Rabbit (October 18th)
Nothing I can say will sell this movie more than this picture of Taika Waititi, the director behind Thor: Ragnarok, What We Do in the Shadows and this movie flipping off Hitler (who he also plays in the flick). This one's gonna be good.
Frozen II (November 22nd)
It's been 6 years since the first Frozen wiggled its way into our hearts (...and ears). Seems like too long to wait for a sequel but hey, if it's half as good as the first one, it'll be worth the wait!
Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker (December 20th)
