Canada Day Fun!!
Canada day is one of the most hectic days in the city of Halifax. With so much to do, how can you decide on which events to go to?
We’ve got you covered for Canada’s 151st birthday, here’s all the events to definitely put on your schedule:
Pancake Breakfast: from 8am to 9am is a pancake breakfast put on by the lions club at Alderney Landing. This is an awesome way to start your day and fuel up for the festivities ahead!
Official Opening Ceremonies: The celebration officially gets under way at the opening ceremonies, taking place at the Halifax Citadel. Its going to be awesome at the top of the hill with plenty of fun stuff to take part in.
CAF Parachute Team: after you celebrate the opening be sure to head on over to the Oval where the Canadian Armed Forces Parachute Team AKA The Skyhawks are literally jumping into Canada Day straight down into the commons, which should be an awesome sight to see.
Free Concert Series: DDBC is putting on a free concert series at Sullivan’s Pond in Dartmouth from 2-4 which is sure to be a great time with some awesome music
Concert/Fireworks!: From 5-11 the place to be is Aldnerney landing for an amazing concert with some great artists like Allan Rayman, Mo Kenney, and Skratch Bastid! After they’re done there is some of the best fireworks Hali has to offer!
