OMG so Time Travel Actually Exists!!
Today Memory Lane Heritage Village celebrated Father's Day by hosting its 19th Annual Antiue Car Show. We entered the event not expecting it to be as amazing as it was. Not only did they have amazing antique cars but they had an entire village built and put together to showcase what life was like in the 1940's. There was an entire house donated by a man before he passed away that was showcased at the event. It was full of antiques from the 40s and as millenials who live in a world that is so easy, it was interesting to see what kind of life people had to live back then. We saw a typewriter, and we know how hard those are to find nowadays.
We even saw an antique horse carriage but without the horses of course. We learned that people back in the 40s had to cut their own wood to stay warm during the winter. Life was not as easy, trust us! Did you know that cars that were built back then did not have cup holders?! Because we didn't! We enjoyed a meal in their cookhouse that was built in an old-fashioned way. Everybody gathered together to enjoy a meal. It was literally a trip down memory lane, and we enjoyed every second of it!
Please keep listening to find out where we're going and what we're doing for the rest of the summer! See you soon!
