Sauna- The ONLY Dome Style Sauna has arrived in Halifax! It looks AMAZING! “The Solo System personal sauna offers you supreme relaxation and detoxification. The double dome design of this sauna is similar to lying in a bed. Panels surround your body and radiate waves of heat through you to a depth of up to six centimeters. The heat waves induce a deep sweat like you’d experience from prolonged periods of rigorous exercise. As a result, you purge underlying toxins from your deep sebaceous glands.”- Modern Age Aesthetics & Wellness
Spin Class- When in doubt SWEAT IT OUT! Exercise is one of the most effective ways to improve your mental health. Become a Plant Parent- There’s something VERY rewarding about watching something grow and thrive! I recently have become a better plant mom (aka. I’ve kept my plants alive for more than a few months) I find it relaxing tending to them and watch them grow. I get a lot of mine from The Independent Mercantile on Gottingen Street. The staff is super friendly and helpful; they also have lots of advice for new plant parents-to-be!

Take a Trip to the Cat Café- Cats will love you, if you love them, there’s no guessing here. Spending an hour playing with cats or just watching them play with each other might be one of the more relaxing things you can do. Walk Dogs at the SPCA – YES YOU CAN ACTUALLY DO THIS!! Stop by during your local shelter’s hour of operation to take a dog for a walk (within the area of the shelter) or spend some time with the adoptable cats. It makes me happy just thinking about it!
Try Speed Dating- If Bumble has got you BUMMED OUT, why not try something new to jump start your love life in 2019! Café Lara is hosting a Valentine’s Day Speed Dating event on February 14th! It might seem scary actually talking to a stranger IN PERSON, instead of a screen but I believe in you!
