    Counting Sheep for Mental Wellness

    For the month of May, Sleep Country & Serta will be Counting Sheep for Mental Wellness. When you purchase a plush Serta Sheep for $10 plus tax in-store, they will donate the net proceeds to the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA). Including $5 from every Weighted Blanket purchased throughout the month. 1 in 5 Canadians experience a mental illness or problem every year. The Canadian Mental Health Association supports over 1.3 million Canadians. Your donation will help CMHA provide mental health education, awareness activities

    1000 Kiwanis Park Dr - Kitchener
    Furry pets on a leash and strollers welcome! This location will have a Camp Got2Go Kids Zone which will feature Camp Got2Go-inspired activities. It’s a chance to meet other kids taking on Crohn’s disease or ulcerative colitis, and get a taste of Camp Got2Go, an overnight camp for youth living with inflammatory bowel disease. ABOUT GUTSY WALK Cures for Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis are steps away. Join us on Sunday, June 2 at our 24th annual Gutsy Walk to walk, jog or run with us towards a future free from Crohn’s and colitis.     Buy a Coffee and help kids change their stories. Tim Hortons Foundation Camps supports kids from disadvantaged circumstances between the ages of 12 to 16 at the time in their lives when they are determining who they will become as adults. Through a multi-year, camp-based program, they learn skills like leadership, resilience, and responsibility, allowing them to believe in their own potential and change their stories for the better. The program is supported by Tim Hortons Restaurant Owners and Guests and invests in youth from every community Tim Hortons serves.

    We’re taking over DTK again for the second back to back year of King Streatery Food Truck Festival in support of BBBSWR! Waterloo Region, ready your bellies! Taste the treats, hear the beats, play some games and have some drinks, all in support of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Waterloo Region! With over 5000 attendees last year, expect another amazing evening! The region’s tastiest food trucks are taking over 3 blocks of King Street between College St. and Queen St. from 4:00 PM to 11:00 PM on June 15th. Attendees can grab a bite and enjoy live music on every block, fun activities, and programming for kids!

    We are back for another year of fun! Kick off the summer & check out our licensed patios with the DTK PATIO CRAWL! The excitement begins at 5PM. Grab your friends, choose your adventure and discover your new favourite summer hangout. Pick up your passport from any of the participating patios to collect stickers along the way for your chance to win: one of two $500 Downtown Dollars prize packs + plenty of prizes from participating businesses. * Passports will be available at participating businesses closer to the event. **Completed passports can be dropped into the ballot box at each of the participating bars and restaurants night of the event.
