R Kelly Makes Club Appearance

Singer R Kelly, who is facing 10 counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse against four females, posed for photos with fans inside an Illinois club early Sunday.

The 450-capacity Dirty South Lounge in Springfield was about a quarter full of people who paid between $50 and $100 to see Kelly.

According to reports, the R&B star showed up at 1:30 a.m., sang a line from one of his songs, and spent about half-and-hour taking selfies with fans.

Hours earlier, Kelly posted a video on Instagram urging the media to go easy on him.

“I got an event to do tonight … so I want the media to take it easy on me, man,” he said. “This is how I got to get paid now for right now.

“So when you see me in the club with a couple of drinks in my hand and chilling, please… take it easy.”
