Fergie, Josh Duhamel Split After 8 Years Of Marriage
Fergie and Josh Duhamel announced Thursday they have split up.
In a joint statement the couple said: "With absolute love and respect, we decided to separate as a couple earlier this year. To give our family the best opportunity to adjust, we wanted to keep this a private matter before sharing it with the public.
"We are and will always be united in our support of each other and our family."
Fergie, 42, and Duhamel, 44, were married in January 2009 and have a four-year-old son, Axl. It was the first marriage for both.
Us Weekly cited an unnamed source as saying Duhamel moved out last spring and that the couple "had been having problems" for awhile.
Duhamel spent most of the summer in Vancouver directing and starring in The Buddy Games while Fergie has been busy promoting her new album, Double Dutchess, which drops Sept. 22.
On the track "Life Goes On," Fergie sings: "Life goes on, with or without you / It's up to you what you're gonna do / You could go or you could stay / But who cares anyway?"
