Hurricane Telethon Raises Over $17 Million

Leonardo DiCaprio, Oprah Winfrey and George Clooney were among the big stars who came out Tuesday night for Hand In Hand: A Benefit For Hurricane Relief, which raised more than $15 million U.S.

Also appearing on the hour-long special were Selena Gomez, Beyoncé, Julia Roberts, Justin Timberlake, Matthew McConaughey, Tom Hanks and Gwen Stefani!

The show kicked off with Stevie Wonder calling those who deny climate change "blind or unintelligent" before singing "Lean On Me" backed by a choir. There were also performances by Usher with Blake Shelton; Demi Lovato with Brad Paisley, Darius Rucker and CeCe Winans; Tori Kelly with Luis Fonzi; and Dave Matthews.

It wrapped up with a song by George Strait, Miranda Lambert, Lyle Lovett, Robert Earl Keen and Chris Stapleton.

Canadians appearing on the telethon included Justin Bieber (who introduced a multi-denominational prayer), and actor Eric McCormack, who worked the phones in Los Angeles. Drake appeared in a video message.
