Tyrese Slams Dwayne Johnson For ‘Fast And Furious 9’ Delay
Last month, Tyrese pleaded with Dwayne 'The Rock’ Johnson on social media not to delay production of Fast And Furious 9 to make a spin-off movie about his character, Hobbs.
This week it was announced that the release of the latest installment of the Furious franchise has been pushed from April 2019 to April 2020 – but the spin-off with Johnson and Jason Statham could be coming in 2019.
Tyrese took to Instagram to share his frustration. “Congratulations to The Rock… for making the fast and furious franchise about YOU.”
He added: "Will this be another #BayWatch? Guys guys just relax I'm just a passionate film critic."
In a follow-up post, Tyrese accused Johnson of having "a problem cause he wasn't the ONLY ONE on the movie poster." He said Vin Diesel and the late Paul Walker were offered spin-offs but turned them down. "You didn't have to agree with a solo #HobbsMovie."
So far, there's been no reaction from Johnson on social media.
