Winners Of 'The Amazing Race Canada' Are...

After racing through 17 cities in four countries, couple Sam Lambert and Paul Mitskopoulos were first to reach the finish line on the Season 5 finale of The Amazing Race Canada.

The Toronto pair won $250,000, a trip for two around the world, and a 2018 Chevrolet Equinox True North Edition.

Lambert, 25, and Mitskopoulos, 24, beat Kenneth McAlpine and Ryan Lachapelle of Rossland, B.C. and Korey Sam and Ivana Krunic of Toronto in the final leg of the race, which ended in Quebec City.

“This is the most amazing thing, we've met so many amazing people, and the fact that I got to do it with Paul, and that we're here,” Lambert said. “It's just been the most amazing experience of our lives, and we are so thankful, and so grateful.”

Mitskopoulos added: “This race really has changed my life. Even six months ago I didn't want to tell people I was gay. I told my family and friends, but just being in front of all of these people, and being able to show that this is my boyfriend, the man I am in love with… I feel liberated, it's the best feeling.”

If you missed the excitement of the finale, it re-airs on Sept. 16 on CTV.
