Mariah Carey's Ex-Manager Sues: Report

Mariah Carey is getting sued by her former manager, according to a report early Monday.

The news comes only two days after the pop superstar said she feels “uplifted” and “inspired” by the support she’s got since opening up about her struggle with bipolar disorder.

TMZ claims Stella Stolper has filed documents ahead of a lawsuit alleging breach of contract as well as violation of the U.S. Civil Rights Act and Fair Employment and Housing Act.

“Our sources say the suit involves a huge amount of money Stolper claims Mariah didn't pay her,” the website reported, “but it involves more than money.”

Last November, Stolper (who was born Stella Bulochnikov) said in a statement that she and Carey made a mutual decision to cease their professional relationship after nearly three years.

“During their time working together, they have accomplished great things,” the statement read. “Mariah Carey and Stella Bulochnikov remain partners in a number of business ventures, and will continue to support each other in those endeavors.”
