The Cast of RuPaul's Drag Race UK has been Revealed!!!!!

Drag Race UK

For the first time in Drag Race HERstory, everyone's favourite drag competition is crossing the pond.

In October, RuPaul, Michelle Visage will be joined by the likes of Alan Carr, Graham Norton, Jade Thirlwell from Little Mix, Michaela Coel and Andrew Garfield among other famous names to help judge the competition as all ten queens compete to be the first to be crowned the UK's Next Drag Superstar.

Now, I'm a self-confessed Drag Race fanatic and I am SO excited to see how UK queens do drag differently than North American queens. So, along with giving you their names and sharing their intro videos, I'm going to give you my first impression of all 10 Drag Race hopefuls.

Let's meet these Queens, shall we?

Baga Chipz, 29, London

"Like chips. I go with anything."

My First Impression:

Baga seems like a funny queen, but she's definitely the least polished looking of the bunch. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, but unless she's got a lot of talent and personality, Michelle Visage is going to read her runways looks for FILTH. Good Luck Baga, good luck.

Blu Hydrangea, 23, Belfast

"Blu Hydrangea is the queen of the makeup brush and my strength is my mug."

My First Impression:

She's not lying, this queen knows how to PAINT. When you go to her Instagram profile, you'll see post after post of stunning visual art. That kind of talent makes me very excited to see what sort of unique looks they'll pull out on the runway.

Divina De Campo, 35, West Yorkshire

"Drag to me is absolute freedom, You can be anything and do anything that you want"

My First Impression:

Oh my, what a laugh. She sounds like a mix of Trixie and Katya on Uhhhhhhn. But moving on! Divina is clearly very comfortable in front of a camera and she is a seasoned professional. She's a well-rounded performer and I think she'll definitely be giving the younger queens a run for their money. But I could see that ego and laugh of her's stirring up some serious drama in the Werk Room...

Crystal, 34, London

"I'm called Crystal because we're both glamourous and sparkly but ultimately; worthless."

My First Impression:

Love that we've got another queen originally from Canada repping for us on Drag Race, but Crystal needs more personality. Perhaps she's like fellow Canadian queen, Brooke Lynn Hytes and just likes to keep a calm, cool exterior? Hopefully she'll bring more energy in the actual competition. I'd also LOVE to see her aerialist skills during a Lip Sync for Your Life. That would seriously SLAY.

Sum Ting Wong, 30, Birmingham

"I am a Chinese male who's overweight and losing his hair.

My First Impression:

I smiled the entire time I watched this Meet the Queens video. Sum seems to have this vibrancy and bubbly personality that I absolutely love. Crystal, take notes. I'm excited to see this queen perform and even though they're worried about Snatch Game, I'm hoping they'll be able to pull it off and go far in the competition.

Cheryl Hole, 25, Essex

"I think my degree in dance will give me an edge because there are several challenges that are thrown at you where you have to use your body."

My First Impression:

Farrah Moan and Alyssa Edwards had a baby, that baby is Cheryl Hole. I'm not too familiar with her namesake, Cheryl Cole, but the pressure will be on for this queen because Cole will be on the show to judge an episode. Hopefully her personality and dance moves will take her far, because queen can't so and that always causes issues.

Gothy Kendoll, 21, Leicester

"I first did drag on New Year's Eve 2016 and it was a mess. I was in a leotard with no wig on but I was living my life, having the best night ever."

My First Impression:

Okay I am officially OBSESSED with Gothy Kendoll. Her Violet Chachki vibes are giving me serious life. They also remind me a lot of Violet in that they are seriously confident, bordering on cocky. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing, as mama Ru always says, you gotta show off your Charisma, Uniqueness, Nerve and Talent and Ms. Kendoll do have NERVE. I look forward to seeing that nerve on my TV and how the other queens will react to it. Let's be real, we love the drama just as much as we love the queens themselves.

Vinegar Strokes, 35, London

"Drag is the new black"

My First Impression:

Despite her acidic name, she seems rather sweet. Very well spoken and she draws a lot of inspiration from the strong women in their life for their drag and I love that. Vinegar describes herself as the 'heart of the season' so lets see if she can get our blood pumping and bring some fierce competition to the UK runway.

Scaredy Kat, 19, Wiltshire

"When I'm not in drag, I'm actually a student. So this is where my student loan is going. I'm wearing it right now."

My First Impression:

Come through, baby queen! Scaredy is the youngest queen to be on drag race ever but if she made it on the show, she's got to be something special. I love her dry, self-depricating sense of humour and I have a feeling that she's got what it takes to go very far in the competition. But she also can't sew so that could be detrimental to her in the competition. WHAT IS WITH QUEENS THAT CAN'T SEW?! They've seen the show, it never goes well for the queens that can't werk a sewing machine...

The Vivienne, 27, Liverpool

"Comedy is definitely my trump card. My favourite trick in drag is my vocal impersonations so I do everyone from Kim Woodburn and Cilla Black to Donald Trump,"

My First Impression:

Honestly, she didn't really blow me away with her video, but she's got a good resume of talents! Also when I was looking through the comments of this video I saw that RPDG alum Courtney Act is cheering her on, which is a serious endorsement. Maybe The Vivienne will take it all? We'll just have to wait and see.

As of right now my top four predictions are Gothy Kendoll, Blu Hydrangea, Scaredy Cat and Devina Decampo. Good luck Uk Queens and don't fudge it up!
