The Big Gay Dog Walk

WHEN: Friday July 5 | 6 PM - 9 PM
WHERE: Dallas Road Off-Leash Dog Area, Dallas Rd & Cook St Intersection

Calling all canines (and their humans, of course)!

Join us on a big gay group dog walk, mingle with friends, play some games, strut your style, and show off your tricks.

No dog? No problem! Everyone is welcome even if you don’t have a furry friend of your own!

Come dressed in your most fantastical attire for this magnificent affair. There will be a Costume Contest with some amazing prizes!

Pride In The Word

Victoria Pride Society’s Pride in the Word is one of Canada’s largest Pride festival literary events. Each year it showcases both some of the proudest and most talented writers from Victoria and across the country and is always a great time.

This year’s event takes place at the Ambrosia Conference Centre, a wheelchair accessible venue.

We are handing the balls over to ELECTRA SOCKET and MINA MERCURY. DJ RonnyB will be on stage keeping the party going PLUS your ticket gets you into the later show with KENDALL GENDR & GIA METRIC. This event is a fundraiser for the Victoria Pride Society

 

 

Night Shift: Pride

Show your colours at Night Shift: Pride, our newest 19+ event, and the best Pride party on Vancouver Island!


Get ready to celebrate with three full floors of outstanding entertainment! Downstairs, DJ Yeezy Yee (and later, TigRess) will pack the lobby dance floor with high-energy club anthems, Top 40, tech, house and everyone’s favourite throwbacks, while DJ AppleCat will weave a mythic underworld vibe in the glittering Enchanted Forest on the second floor.

Upstairs, Madame Gouda Gabor and her bordello babes, Vivian Vanderpuss and Lola Maneata, will shake up the quiet streets of Old Town with raucous and raunchy performances, while Drag Kings and Queens Eddi Liscious, Persi Flage and Henrietta Dubet strut their stuff throughout the galleries.

Vogue-master Ralph Escamillan will be on hand for a lesson or two, and when you need to recover your swagger, take a break at the craft stations, photo booths, and archival displays documenting the history of Pride. Fuel up with on-site food and drinks to keep the night going strong!
 

 

THE 26TH ANNUAL VICTORIA PRIDE PARADE

WHEN: SUNDAY, JULY 7 2019

11:00AM - 12:30PM

WHERE: Downtown Victoria, Padora & Government to James Bay (MacDonald Park)

FREE ALL AGES

Watch thousands of people in more than 100 colourful entries march through downtown Victoria to show their PRIDE and solidarity with the Queer community.

The parade begins at the corner of Pandora and Government, continuing south on Government, turning west on Belleville and then south on Menzies until turning west at Kingston; parade moves south on Oswego ending at MacDonald Park at the corner of Oswego and Simcoe. Follow the end of the parade to MacDonald Park in James Bay to the Victoria Pride Festival.

 

 

The 25th Annual Victoria Pride Festival

WHEN: SUNDAY, JULY 7 2019

WHERE: MacDonald Park, 212 Niagara St

FREE & ALL AGES

After the Victoria Pride Parade, join thousands in MacDonald Park in James Bay for a multifaceted queer-themed festival.

The Opening Ceremony will be followed by speeches co-hosted by the GVNCS two spirit collective at 12:30PM. There will be two stages of music and entertainment, a beer garden (cash only – ATMs on site), multiple food trucks, a giant vendor area and a kids’ camp!
