Confirmed: Rage Against The Machine Will Reunite and Perform
Start saving your pennies!
Rage Against the Machine just announced a series of performance dates for 2020, one big one being a headliner at Coachella!
The dates were released on their social media, and a longtime associate of the band Wayne Kamemoto, confirmed the accuracy.
Rage has not played together since a show in 2011 at the L.A. Coliseum.
The only thing we've really had since then was guitarist Tom Morello, drummer Bad Wilk, and bassist Tim Commerford teaming up with Chuck D (Public Enemy) and B-Real (Cypress Hill for Prophets of Rage in 2016.
Could it have some political reasoning? Possibly!
When Prophets of Rage formed it was said that it came together in response to the 2016 presidential election.
SO, Rage returns with these dates, starting in El Paso, Texas, March 26, 2020 - 8 months before the 2020 election. Coincidence? (via Forbes)
Dates announced so far:
El Paso, TX, March 26, 2020
Las Cruces, NM, March 28, 2020
Phoenix, AZ, March 30, 2020
Indio, CA April 10, 2020 (Coachella)
Indio, CA April 17, 2020 (Coachella)
Let's all hold our breath and cross our fingers for a Canadian date, and definitely one in Edmonton not Toronto right?!?! haha
