Female Firefighter Claims She Was Fired For 'Racy' Photos on Instagram

A female firefighter/paramedic is suing her former employer claiming that she was fired because of the 'racy' photos she shares on her social media accounts.

Presley Pritchard says that she promotes her healthy lifestyle and fitness regime on Instagram for her over 113,000 followers. Apparently she was often asked by the fire department where she was employed to take down certain posts that showed Pritchard in workout gear and firefighter uniform.

What’s it worth to you? - Something dawned on me today in church and it was when pastor @levilusko said “Believe it even if you don’t feel it.” He was referring to how many times he stands up to preach, even if it doesn’t feel like God is talking through him. But then how he’s approached by random people in other cities saying that particular message he doubted, changed their life. It’s the same with this job. I often times have complained and wondered why the hell I got into this. The long hours, getting yelled at, not appreciated enough, punched and spit on by psych patients, sacrificing my time and sleep to help others, getting frustrated at 0200 am calls for toe pain 🙄 writing hours worth of reports, getting cursed at by drunks. But then I’ll get a letter from someone, or approached by someone who says, “you saved my life,” or “you listened to me when everyone else said I was crazy.” And honestly, that makes it worth it. Putting in the long hours even when you’re frustrated & feeling like nothing matters. - So let me ask you, what makes it worth it to you? (@ninelineapparel code: Presleykp) . . . . . Someone once told me; “no one cares about your fears, you either show up & get it done or you don’t” and that really stuck with me. I was never comfortable competing against a bunch of men, thinking I wouldn’t get a position because I wasn’t as strong, tall, or “worthy” enough as a female. I have severe social anxiety and often times, it causes me to miss out on life’s biggest opportunities. I have good days, Bad days, Overwhelming days, Too tired days, “I’m awesome” days, And I can’t go on days. But every day, I still showed up, put in the work, and persevered. God can do amazing things with a willing heart. Its not easy to have complete faith that God has the ability to move mountains in our lives. So find comfort in the chaos, and trust that things will work out. Keep doing your part and putting in the work. I always tell myself, “faith it til you make it” because this is a hard season. But I know, God’s going to use this someday as a megaphone for others. - @ninelineapparel discount: Presleykp for 20% off 📸 @jmkphotomt . . . . . . . . . Pritchard was first approached by the department leadership in 2018 about her scantly clad posts, and had to attend a board meeting to defend her posts. (via Fox)

Pritchard is suing the department for wrongful termination.
