Tool Warns Fans Will Be Kicked Out Over Cellphone Ban

In hopes of encouraging fans to enjoy the moment on their 'Fear Inoculum' tour, Tool has enforced a 'no cellphone' policy for their shows.

Will this actually work for fans? Would you put away the phone and enjoy the show?

I'm not sure if you want to risk this one, apparently the band is taking thing pretty seriously, warning fans that they will be kicked out of the show if they're spotted breaking the rule.

Is it worth the risk? Must. Post. Blurry. Snapchat. Video. annnnnnnnd booted half way through?

Frontman Maynard James Keenan is no stranger to the hate for people taking videos at concerts, but now the band is really making it official.

Reddit user neilmot shared a screenshot of the email he received after purchasing tickets to Tool's show in Cleveland.

“No cameras” is printed on the tickets, posted at every spot possible at the venues, posted by the fern, now I got a email reminding me no cameras. When is Maynard going to call me with a reminder? from r/ToolBand

The email warns fans they’ll be kicked out if they’re caught snapping photos or videos on their phone or camera during the show.

“We respectfully request that you please watch and listen to the show, not your phone. You will be ejected from the show without the opportunity to return and without a refund if you violate this simple request and elect to take photos during the performance.”
