Watch: Lethbridge police arrest Storm Trooper promoting Star Wars Day
"May the 4th be with you" is a common saying on May 4th. As it's the unofficial Star Wars Day! I even know that as someone who has never watched a Star Wars movie in my life. Lethbridge police may have missed the memo. Instead they arrested a pub employee dressed as a Storm Trooper who was promoting the day at Coco Vanilla Galactic Cantina. After receiving multiple reports of a person with a "gun in the area". Police took down the employee and all the fun with it.
“Police officers had guns drawn, pointed at my employee. They were yelling at her to put the gun down so she threw the plastic gun on the ground. At that point in time when I came out, she was on her knees kneeling down on the ground. The police had already checked and seen that the gun was plastic so they already knew that there wasn’t an issue or a risk there.” said the owner Bradley Whalen of Coco Vanilla Galactic Cantina.
