COVID-19 Impacts on Springwater Municipal Services

Due to the rapidly evolving COVID-19 pandemic, the Township of Springwater is announcing additional municipal service impacts. The following are effective as of 4:30 p.m. on March 16, 2020.

Township Administration Centre

Closed to the public. Staff will begin rotational shifts to ensure continuity of business.

Residents are asked to contact the Township via phone or email or conduct their business online at springwater.ca. Payments can be made online through MySpringwater or placed in the drop-box located at the Township Administration Centre.

Minesing Fire Hall

Closed to the public. Staff will begin rotational shifts to ensure continuity of business.

Residents are asked to contact Springwater Fire & Emergency Services via phone or email or conduct their business online at springwater.ca.

Special Council Meeting – Swaley Drain

March 18

Building Services & By-law Enforcement

Adjusted service hours.

Staff will be reducing the number of service calls and adjusting hours to ensure continuity of services.

 

These closures and cancellations are in addition to municipal service impacts announced on Friday, March 13, including the cancellation of all programming and the closure of several facilities including the Elmvale Arena, all Springwater Library branches and the Community Halls.

The Township of Springwater is taking precautions to help protect our vulnerable residents. Following a meeting of the Emergency Management Team the Township has made the difficult decision to cancel all programming and close some facilities, effective Friday, March 13 at 12 midnight. The closures and cancellations will remain in effect until further notice.
