 OPP Seeking Assistance In Solving Fail to Remain Truck vs Pedestrian at Simcoe County Road 93 Crosswalk

(MIDLAND, ON) - Members of the Southern Georgian Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are asking for your assistance solving a fail to remain truck vs pedestrian crash which occurred shortly after 4:00 p.m. September 17, 2020 at the intersection of the south entrance/exit of the Mountain View Mall and Simcoe County Road 93 in the Town of Midland.

Officers are investigating a report that an eastbound pedestrian who was crossing Simcoe County Road 93 on the crosswalk was struck by a white Dodge pick up truck turning south onto Simcoe County Road 93. The pedestrian was knocked to the ground and run over by the pick up truck. After a verbal confrontation the pick up truck left the scene and the pedestrian went to the hospital to be treated and released for injuries sustained in the mishap.

Officers are looking to speak with the driver of the white Dodge pick up truck who is described as; male white, approximately 40 years of age, wearing an orange high visibility construction type shirt and a baseball cap
