Brockville Transit resumes regular service

Brockville

Brockville Transit has resumed its regular service as of Monday morning after nearly three months of running on reduced capacity.

Starting Monday, the regular three-route system resumes, with 'red, blue and green' routes to run from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday to Saturday. The evening or 'yellow' routes will run from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday to Friday.

Riders will notice public health protocols remain in place in response to COVID-19, including a maximum eight riders being allowed per bus, hand sanitizer stations at the front of buses and increased cleaning regimens.

It's also reccomended transit users wear wasks on their travels and practice physical distancing.

The City said in a news release it will continue to review municipal services on a day-to-day basis and take necessary precautions to stop the spread of COVID-19.

City services are expected to be discussed during Tuesday's meeting of Brockville City Council.
