Man charged after contacting stolen Ipad's owner looking for password
A Brockville man has been charged with being in possession of property obtained by crime after police said he contacted the owner of a stolen Ipad looking for the password to reset it.
Brockville Police said an Ipad was stolen from a resident's car on Wednesday and the victim reached out to police to report a suspect had contacted them asking for the tablet's 'Apple ID' to reset it. The man arranged to meet the suspect and contacted police.
A 28-year-old man was arrested and charged around 10:30 a.m. Wednesday and released from custody with a future court date.
