Chef Dan: Garlic and Mash Potato Recipe

The secret to my mashed potatoes are the two textures and the herb & garlic cream cheese that is added at the end.

Cut your potatoes in half and boil until fork tender.

Reserve about 1/3 of the boiled potatoes in a side dish. Mash the remaining 2/3 with your masher. Mash them to almost whipped.

Add in enough butter and milk to make the mashed potatoes creamy. Then add in a generous dollop of herb and garlic cream cheese. Once that is mixed in, take your remaining 1/3 potatoes and very carefully with a sharp knife, cut them into tiny cubes and CAREFULLY fold them into your mashed potatoes.

This will give them some texture, and give your mashed potatoes new life as a side dish!
