Enjoy the sun, because winter is officially on the way.

A mix of sun and cloud is forecast Wednesday, with wind keeping things cooler.

Starting in the evening though, Environment Canada is calling for rain to giveway to the first real snowflakes of the season, with up to 2cm falling overnight.

That should continue through Thursday, with another 2 to 4 cm of accumulation and a daytime high of 2C but feeling more like minus 7C with the windchill.

More snow is possible every day for the remainder of this week. Friday and Saturday are calling for a chance of flurries and periods of snow on Sunday.
