  • OAW: Bus cancellation group organizer says OSTA proposals for improving service insufficient

    The Ottawa Student Transit Authority says it has plans to train new drivers, address safety concerns, and increase the number of routes serving students as the start of the school year has been marred by a lack of available transit, particularly in more rural parts of the city.

    Cheri Nixon, OSTA Bus Cancelation Facebook group organizer and mom, tells Patricia Boal we're just hearing more of the same and improved communication and planning is needed.

The incident has been an international embarrassment, offending Jews, Poles, Ukrainians and others while fueling Russia's propaganda efforts. 

    Shimon Koffler Fogel, President and CEO of the Centre for Israel and Jewish Affairs tells Patricia Boal that the prime minister now needs to step up for further responsibility and accountability on this.

    The Gloucester Rangers Minor Hockey Association has introduced the CAPT Concussion Management Platform to all its teams with the hopes of expanding. The tool allows precise tracking of young players suffering concussions and concussion symptoms to help with safe recoveries and returns to the ice.

    Kevin Carroll, President of the Gloucester Rangers Minor Hockey Association and Terry Kell, CEO of Agile which developed CAPT, join Patricia Boal to talk through how the software works and the benefits for players and teams.
