CFRA Live – ‘We’re doing exactly the opposite of what we should be doing’: If the current Police Budget passes, Mayor Watson says law enforcement will be faced with difficult circumstances


After the current Police Budget was passed on Tuesday night, Ottawa’s Police Chief told Mayor Watson that the service has two alternatives if city councillors deliver a stamp of approval on December 8. The first option is layoffs, which nobody wants to see. The other option is a possible year-end deficit, which would be on the backs of municipal taxpayers.
