On Thursday, Canada’s Defense Minister was censured by 169 members of the House of Commons, a motion that was led by Conservative MP James Bezan. This was over Harjit Sajjan’s handling of three files in the military portfolio, one of which dealt with sexual misconduct within the military. To make matters worse for Sajjan, a second-in-command officer resigned from his post days earlier after a golf game with Jonathan Vance added a dose of bad optics. Christian Leuprecht is a professor at the Royal Military College of Canada and Queen's University in Kingston. He joins Andrew Pinsent on CFRA Live to break down the motion to censur Sajjan, the impact it could have, and what happens next.
