Ottawa Now – Dr. Etches defends keeping 48-hour buffer of vaccines in freezers as politicians row over supply

Mayor Jim Watson has asked the province for 40,000 additional doses to meet demand for second shots this week, but Premier Doug Ford’s government says the city isn’t using what it has and is keeping more doses than necessary in its freezers. Dr. Vera Etches, Ottawa’s Medical Officer of Health, says we need that buffer to make sure no appointments are cancelled. She joins Kristy Cameron on Ottawa Now.
