Hydro Ottawa crews have been pulling 24/7 shifts to get the lights back on across Canada’s Capital. CEO Bryce Conrad estimates roughly 125,000 customers are no longer in the dark after Saturday’s derecho, with roughly 55,000 still waiting for good news. Once the power is back in Merivale, he says a massive chunk of Ottawa’s powerless houses and businesses will be buzzing, a vision he hopes will be realized on Thursday as more reinforcements roll in from other areas. However, Mother Nature could prove to be an issue for some areas on Friday. Conrad joins Kristy Cameron on Ottawa Now.
