Ottawa Now – Mayor of Cornwall says senate appointment feels ‘bittersweet’

On Tuesday, Prime Minister Trudeau appointed three new members of Canada’s Senate. One of them is the Mayor of Cornwall, Bernadette Clement. She was first elected to city council in 2006 for three terms before becoming Mayor. She was the first black woman to serve as Mayor in Ontario and the first female mayor in Cornwall’s history. Clement joins Kristy Cameron on Ottawa Now.
