It appears that Canadian couples are more open to seeking a divorce as they get older. According to new research from Statistics Canada, the average age for divorce has climbed steadily over the years, partly because more people are tying the knot at a later age. When the COVID-19 pandemic began in 2020, the average age of divorce was 48 years. Denise Whitehead, a Professor of Family Studies at the University of Waterloo, joins Kristy Cameron to dissect the latest trend of ‘grey divorces’.
