Prior to the start of the pandemic, one in five Canadian kids met the diagnostic criteria for a mental disorder. And then, COVID-19 arrived. We have seen a surge in eating disorders, depression, anxiety, and other concerning trends since then. Melissa Sum Wah, a 19-year old entering her second year of university, hopes this study from Children First Canada serves as a wake-up call.
