WATCH: Police hope new video will lead to homicide suspects

Peel Police have released new video of the moments a homicide unfolded in Mississauga this summer.

It happened on Aug. 3 at 9:36 p.m. near Eglinton and Mavis. Gunfire rang out, and when police arrived to a home on Huntington Ridge Drive, they found 25-year-old Abdifatah Salah had been shot. He was taken to hospital, where he died from his injuries.

 

Police believe three teenagers are responsible. The shooters were in a dark-coloured, four-door car, missing a hubcap on the rear passenger side, that's captured on surveillance footage. The vehicle was last seen on Eglinton at Hurontario.

Anyone with information on the car is asked to call police.

 “This was a senseless act of gun violence which resulted in a life being taken.This type of violence will not be tolerated by our service or our communities. It is a priority for our investigators and they are committed to ensuring justice for the victim and loved ones," said Deputy Chief Nick Milinovich.
