Val-des-Monts man killed in weekend snowmobile incident north of Ottawa
A 44-year-old Val-des-Monts man died while snowmobiling in west Quebec over the weekend.
Christopher Whyte died from injuries suffered in an incident on du Vision Road around 11:30 p.m. Sunday evening.
MRC des Collines Police say Whyte was snowmobiling with three other snowmobilers when they noticed he was missing. The group backtracked and found the scene of the incident.
The victim was pronounced dead at the hospital in Wakefield.
Investigators are looking into the cause and circumstances of the incident, but say it happened off the trail.February 17, 2020
