A three-week shutdown of all publicly-funded schools was previously announced by the Ontario government, but now Premier Doug Ford says it’s not clear when the 2019-2020 school year will be back in session. The province has unveiled an online learning platform for students but, with no cohesive plan, plenty of unknowns still remain. Dave Ward, a Chemistry and Science teacher at Osgoode Township High School, is trying to make the most of it by teaching from home. He sets up video classes for his students to log into, where they go through class materials and solve problems together. He joins Kristy Cameron on Ottawa Now to explain the learning curve for both himself and his students.
