Ottawa Now – Could a drug for gout help curb COVID-19 deaths?


Important and promising research in Canada is being done to minimize the harm caused by COVID-19. Leading this charge is Dr. Jean-Claude Tardif, a cardiologist and Director of the Montreal Heart Institute Research Centre. Researchers are looking into colchicine, a gout drug, to see if it can reduce the risk of respiratory distress. Dr. Tardif joins Kristy Cameron on Ottawa Now.
