Ottawa’s embattled LRT system will soon receive new leadership. After Peter Lauch announced he would be stepping down as the CEO of Rideau Transit Group, CTV News has learned that Nicholas Truchon will take over as CEO and Mario Guerra will serve as the CEO of Rideau Transit Maintenance. Truchon brings over 20 years of experience with him, while Guerra has been involved in Ottawa’s LRT project since 2016. Meanwhile, Ottawa’s top doctor is ‘seriously exploring’ options to make facemasks mandatory in indoor spaces.
