Britons will be the first in the world to receive a vaccine that fights against the ongoing pandemic after the British government became the first to approve an emergency use of Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine. Some of the doses will be given out as soon as next week. Dr. Brian Conway, the Medical Director of the Vancouver Infectious Diseases Centre, says this is significant news because the vaccine results have survived independent scientific reviews.
