An article in today’s edition of the Globe and Mail heavily criticized the Canadian government’s decision to ship medical supplies to China in the fight against COVID-19. According to a senior federal source, these supplies will now be returned back to Canada by China. Amir Attaran, a professor at University of Ottawa’s School of Epidemiology and Public Health, is puzzled why this decision was even made in the first place. He explains why in this one-on-one conversation with Evan Solomon.
