The Conservatives opened up their largest lead yet in the most recent Abacus Data poll. If an election were held today, 42% of committed voters would vote Conservatives with the Liberals at 23%, the NDP at 19% and the Greens at 5%. The BQ is at 32% in Quebec.

 Prince George RCMP has reported 62 instances of online sextortion in 2023, which is an increase over 2022's numbers. In one tragic case, a 12-year-old boy has died by suspected suicide following an instance of sextortion.
