Great Holiday Food Drive Express - December 11th!
What started as soup prepared in Leone Taylor’s kitchen has grown to the distribution of 5,400 lbs. of food by Community Care St. Catharines & Thorold to over 100 households per day, 5 days a week (includes individuals and families) - and the need doesn't stop there. 31% percent of all clients served at the foodbank during the pandemic have been children and youth, with 13% of St. Catharines' total population accessing their services.
This year, we have a new take on an old tradition and we're hoping YOU can help create some holiday magic with us!
On Friday, December 11th – the Great Holiday Food Drive EXPRESS bus is making its rounds throughout St. Catharines and Thorold 6am - 6pm, beginning at Market Square, to make helping those in need in our community a little easier. Bring your food and monetary donations to one of the drop off locations below to help us STUFF A BUS for Community Care.

Texting / Online Donations
If you can’t make it out to one of the stops but still want to help, consider heading online or texting in your donation. Monetary donations are income tax receipt eligible and allows Community Care to stretch dollars 5 - 1.
For example: instead of buying a can of beans for Community Care, if you donate the money instead they can leverage partnerships with various grocery stores to buy 5 cans of beans for that same price.
TEXTING: you can text GIVE to 20222 right now to make a $10 or $25 donation directly to Community Care St. Catharines and Thorold.
