10 Fearman's Pork employees test positive for COVID-19


Halton Public Health is investigating an outbreak of COVID-19 at Fearman's Pork in Burlington.

Its parent company, Sofina Foods, confirming to Inside Halton, ten employees at the plant have tested positive.

Six work in the Burlington sales office.

A Sofina spokesperson confirming in an email, the infection started after one employee was exposed during a community sporting event.

The spokesperson says four "hourly employees" working in the plant’s non-edible area have also tested positive.
