CKTB - News - Hamilton Police

A 14 year old boy has died in Hamilton after an assault outside a school earlier today.

Hamilton Police confirm the student has died as a result of injuries sustained during an assault outside Sir Winston Churchill Secondary School.

The assault sparked 'hold and secures' at the school on Main Street East, other local schools and day cares, but they have since been lifted.

Hamilton Police announced early today they were investigating an overnight threat received by the city's Catholic Board through social media.

Police say that threat was not specific, and no school was individually named.

Police are appealing for video or anyone who may have witnessed the incident to contact 905-546-4123 or dropped off at the Command Van located at Ivon & Dunsmere.
