24 yr old Mississauga woman dies in crash with dump truck in Niagara Falls

A 24 year old woman from Mississauga has died following a two-vehicle crash in Niagara Falls.

It happened yesterday just before 4 o'clock in the afternoon in the area of Mountain Road and the QEW Southbound off ramp.

Police say the woman was driving a silver Honda Civic, with a 24 year old male passenger, when it collided with a dump truck while trying to turn onto Mountain.

A 61 year old St. Catharines man was operating the dump truck.

The 24 yr old woman from Mississauga was treated on scene and transported to a local hospital where she was pronounced deceased.

A 25 year old male, from Mississauga, Ontario, suffered minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital.

The circumstances of the incident remain under investigation by detectives with the Niagara Regional Police Collision Reconstruction Unit, the Forensic Service Unit, the Traffic Enforcement Unit and the office of the Coroner.
